Will We Be "Obscene" Again?

I remember when Alex Ferguson complained about West Ham playing out of their skinned deprive them of the title and described it as "obscene". Although they can't win the title we do have another chance to deprive them of something - a Champions League spot. Their final game is against Leicester and we could have a major say in whether ManUre qualify. After their damp squib v Chelsea they could well start flat and we are clearly on fire. What do you think? Obscene?

The length of time it took VAR to award us a penalty on a hand ball that could be seen by remote Amazonian tribes says it all. They were desperate to try and con us out of a penalty.

Hmmmm, there's really only one way this will go now. First rule of supporting West Ham, do not be too vocal in your predictions or have high expectations. In 60 years of my suffering our performances we have proved one thing beyond all doubt.... we are consistently inconsistent.
We could be 5 down by half time or 2 up. My head tells me routine Manchester Utd victory but just hoping that we give them a game.

The thing about that 'obscene effort'...
The media never really got the way West Ham always used to put in those tons of effort games against Man Utd. It wasn't about trying to beat the top club, because the intensitty of the games on the pitch and with the atmosphere wasn't the same when it was say Liverpool.
The real animosity towards their fans had been there at West Ham for years and years and even if the media didn't get that, the West Ham players certainly did.

I think that by now every team in the country knows that our LB has the pace of a slug on mogodon, the tackling power of a feather duster and the positional sense of a fishing maggot on acid
I can see them getting chance after chance from that area of the pitch, but it's just a question of whether Antonio and Soucek can score more than them, assuming that they're playing!

How is Moyes going to approach the game? Will he put out our best team, or will he decide that with a reduced summer break to give the likes of Antonio a bit of a break?

Yeah Leicester look shot, but hopefully we can get something. I would love to see them miss out and Leicester qualify.. They would have to beat Man U and VAR no doubt.

If Villa don't win tonight, we definitely can't be relegated so Dour Dave could set us up to have a go, instead of protecting the goal difference.

fraser - The point is if Manu thrash us then Leicester would need a big win against them on Sunday to finish above them?
Ultimately, I think Leicester will miss out which will be hard to take with being in the top 4 since Sept.

I don't rate Solskjaer at all as a manager.
Fernandes is something else as a player though. We find a way to stop him, and we could get a result.

They only need a draw to go above Leicester, and have same goal difference.
They're not that good, but neither are we
Hopefully Chelsea have sowed some seeds of doubt, just hope we give it a go.

Would be amazed if we got anything. Apparently we need to keep the score down to 3 or it will fuck Leicester's chances of finishing above them when they play them on Sunday.

Any one of Rashford, Greenwood or Martial against Cresswell makes me very nervous. His legs have completely gone.
